Light Modifiers
GENERAL INFORMATION
Light modifiers can be used to change the light. They can modify ambient light or artificial light. In dental photography they are used for changing artificial light generated with a flash.
There are a few basic groups:
Diffusers – to soften and diffuse the light (diffusers, softboxes, umbrellas, light panels) Bouncers & Reflectors – they reflect and bounce the light
Filters – will modify the light entering the camera (lens filters) or light generated by the flash (they are placed in front of the light source).
MATERIALS
They can be made of different materials. Mostly they are made of textiles or plastics.
